Early Monday morning December 10th, 2007, Brian Maguire, the kindest man in the world, was admitted to ORMC after a motorcycle accident. He suffered severe head trauma and is in a coma. Though the prognosis wasnt originally hopeful Brian is taking baby steps toward consciousness. No one knows what the final outcome will be but if anyone can beat this thing its Cannonball. He needs love, friendship, positive energy and lets face it - coin. Friends and loved ones have been keeping vigil at the hospital, musical/art benefits are being planned, and we know he can feel the love. But theres more to be done - any and all ideas to help Brian and his family please go for it...

Today it was announced that Man Man ( a Backbooth favorite) has signed to Anti- after putting out two records on Ace Fu. The pre-eminent online music publication Pitchforkmedia.com more extravagantly enthuses, “Man Man\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s power isn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t derived from the genres they stumble across, or the maniac light in their eyes, or the sweat pooling in their beards. It\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s the unbearable sadness in their marrow and how they transform it, like the existentially distressed but heroically steadfast men men they are, into a terrible and lionhearted joy.” I hope everyone enjoyed the free show back in June.
